Machine Operator I

California Screw Products is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in aerospace/manufacturing who already has basic inspection and measuring-tool experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery in accordance with work instructions and safety requirements.
• Load and unload parts and materials from assigned machines.
• Perform basic inspections of manufactured parts.
• Use micrometers and calipers to accurately measure parts and verify dimensions.
• Identify and report parts that are outside specification.
• Read and follow basic work instructions, routers, and production documentation.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Keep the assigned work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Meet established production and quality expectations.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Experience using micrometers and calipers is required.
• Ability to accurately read measurements and perform basic dimensional inspections.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

Preferred Experience

• Aerospace, machining, fastener, metalworking, or manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with blueprints or technical drawings.
• Experience working with production equipment or manufacturing inspection tools.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive manufacturing tasks.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
• Ability to safely work around manufacturing machinery and equipment.
